Launch in Latin America of the campaign “Words Matter: 61 days, 61 words to combat SGBV”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

FIDH has produced a Glossary from A to Z shedding light on 61 key concepts related to sexual and gender-based violence, the contexts in which such crimes are committed and the standards that must be respected when engaging with survivors.<\/p>\n

The aim of the Glossary is to identify and clarify fundamental definitions that defenders, activists, victims, academics, students, authorities and the general public can use as a starting point to explain terms, rights, norms and other essential concepts that are often unknown, misunderstood or misused.<\/p>\n

Marking the International women\u2019s rights day\u00a0 (8th March 2021) OPEN ASIA|Armanshahr Foundation and the Observatory of Women for Justice in Transition launched an online\u00a0 campaign \u201cWords matter; 61 words , 61 days to combat SGBV for Persian speaking countries in the heart of Asia (Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Iran)\u00a0 in order to spearhead and promote a dialogue on the issue of sexual and gender based violence.<\/p>\n

SIWA Artesanas de Paz and JDHG join this effort to spread and generate spaces for discussion about this tool, promoting this campaign, for all Spanish speakers around the world.<\/p>\n
