In this working paper we will present a research methodology for describing and comparing\u00a0<\/span>corpus of video productions diffused and shared on social media platforms (here: You Tube).<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Following experts, there are more than 65 million of refugees in the world. Europe\u00a0<\/span>and more\u00a0<\/span>particularly the European Union\u00a0<\/span>faces a challenge of between 2 to 3 million of refugees, coming\u00a0<\/span>mainly from Middle East, North, West and\u00a0East Africa and\u00a0the West Balkan lands (Kosovo, Albania,<\/span>B<\/span>osnia and Herzegovina, \u2026). The main reasons are war, political, religious and other persecutions and\u00a0<\/span>discriminations, poverty and lack of jobs and\u00a0youth bulge.<\/span>\u00a0A\u00a0common\u00a0well-<\/span><\/span><\/span>known expression for designating this complex is that of the \u201c<\/span>European migrant\u00a0<\/span>crisis<\/span>\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This expression\u00a0<\/span>means, approximatively, the increased influx of\u00a0people from Muslim-majority\u00a0<\/span>countries trying to join the EU\u00a0since 2014 across the Mediterranean Sea or overland through Southeast<\/span>Europe. The most concerned countries of the EU are\u00a0Greece and Italy as\u00a0well as Hungary, Austria and\u00a0<\/span>Slovenia mainly in the role\u00a0of transit countries and Germany, France and the\u00a0UK as the most popular\u00a0<\/span>destination countries.<\/span>\u00a0The European migrant\u00a0crisis has had\u00a0<\/span>unsurprisingly\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a tremendous echo in the\u00a0<\/span>traditional news\u00a0<\/span>media\u00a0<\/span>as well as in the\u00a0<\/span>digital social media sphere.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
