Dadaab Stories<\/a> is a multimedia platform containing a large collection of stories and films from Dadaab Refugee camp in Kenya, home to hundreds of thousands, mostly, Somali refugees.
\nIt was developed by the charity FilmAid and explores daily life in the camp, with a plethora of articles, videos and photos on its inhabitants, art in the camp, the refugee diaspora and other themes.
\nMost of the content on the platform is made with close cooperation and involvement of Dadaab camp residents.<\/p>\n

The arts in the camp<\/strong>
\nThe Arts play a central role in the culture of the Horn of Africa and this is reflected in day-to-day life in Dadaab. From the sugary Somali pop music which blares from tea-stalls to traditional Gambella wedding dances, life is routinely expressed through creative mediums which strike a universal chord.<\/p>\n

Buranbur\u00a0is a poetic prayer from a Somali mother, calling for an end to violence and suffering, and the bestowing of peace and mercy on her people.<\/p>\n
