The Open letter addressed to the United Nations Secretary General as a protest to the recent statement by the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) about the madrassas as an alternative to the schools for Afghan girls. The letter is signed by 70 organizations and over 70 Afghan personalities including Human Rights Defenders, Civil Society activists, journalists, lawyers, judges, poets, writers and activists.
The letter also provides a set of recommendations to the United Nations and UNAMA
