106th-111th Goftegu Public Debate: International women’s Film Festival – “Women, most qualified ambassadors of peace!”
Armanshahr Foundation and Roya Film House, headed by Guissou Jahangiri and Roya Sadat respectively, organised “The First International Women’s Film Festival-Herat” at the ancient citadel of Herat, 7-9 March 2013, marking 8 March, the International Women’s Day. More than 1500 people attended. The Festival Secretariat had received 100 films from 20 countries, out of which 10 films from Afghanistan and 25 films from other countries were screened. Several filmmakers from Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan and India were guests of the Festival.

The 15th anniversary of the establishment of Armanshahr Foundation/Open Asia was celebrated in its 100th Goftegu meeting during which the winners of the first and second Simorgh peace prize were announced.

The 15th anniversary of the establishment of Armanshahr Foundation/Open Asia was celebrated in its 100th Goftegu meeting during which the winners of the first and second Simorgh peace prize were announced. Furthermore, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Library of Tajikistan were praised for two decades of publishing services and cultural achievements, respectively. Two thousand books were donated to the National Library.
Tuesday 13 August 201395th Goftegu Public Debate: In the context of footnote
“In the context of footnote”, introduction, critique and reading of the first poetry anthology of Ramin Arabnejad, Panevis – footnote – was the topic of the 95th Goftegu debate (7th year), a bridge between the elite and the citizens, of Armanshahr Foundation. It was held in the Herat office of Armanshahr Foundation on 5 November 2012, which more than 40 young poets and cultural activists attended.
Monday 12 August 201391st Goftegu Public Debate: Books & Freedom of Expression in Balkh
To mark the arrival of Caravan of 3,000 Armanshahr books in Mazar-i-Sharif, the 91st Goftegu debate (6th year), a bridge between the elite and the citizens, of Armanshahr Foundation, entitled “From Book to Freedom of Expression” was organised in Ibn-e Sina University of the city on 5 September 2012. More than 250 men and women, including university professors and students, attended.
Monday 12 August 201387th Goftegu Public Debate: From the Fairy of Arts to the Monster of War
“From the fairy of arts to the monster of war” was the title of the 87th Goftegu(6th year), a bridge between the elite and the citizens, of Armanshahr Foundation,which was held in cooperation with the French Cultural Institute of Kabul in the Institute on 25 April 2012.
Sunday 11 August 201383rd Goftegu Public Debate: Melodies and variations
The 83rd (6th year) Goftegu, a bridge between the elite and the citizens, of Armanshahr Foundation, marking the 15th anniversary of Armanshahr/Open Asia, was held at the French Cultural Institute of Kabul on 27th October 2011, with a performance by Master Wahid Qasemi, singer, composer, musician and music researcher.
