Armanshahr Foundation/OPEN ASIA announced the recipients of the 4th International Simorgh Peace Prize awards on the 57th Human Rights Day during the “Human Rights Week” (7-10 December 2015) in Kabul.

This 4th round, women who are true protectors of peace in three countries located at the heart of Asia – Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan – were recipients of the awards; women who despise war-mongering and stand up to it by their civic and sustained initiatives; innovative women who resist the despotic and war-afflicted world and give us hope to continue the struggle to change the unjust relations and serve equality.

The 113th Goftegu (Year VII) public debate of Armanshahr concentrated on the presentation of the call for participation of musicians in the 3rd Simorgh peace prize competition. The meeting was held at Ibn Sina Hall in Herat on Tuesday 7 May 2013, where a sizeable number of poets, cultural activists and musicians took part.

The 15th anniversary of the establishment of Armanshahr Foundation/Open Asia was celebrated in its 100th Goftegu meeting during which the winners of the first and second Simorgh peace prize were announced. Furthermore, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Library of Tajikistan were praised for two decades of publishing services and cultural achievements, respectively. Two thousand books were donated to the National Library.
