During the closing ceremony of “the 4th International Women’s Film Festival – Herat” held in Kabul, Afghanistan on 22 Oct. 2016 the winners of this edition of the festival were announced.
Ekaterina Volkova from Russia was awarded as the best leading actress in the film Value, directed by Olga Shtol, by the international jury.

The present book is a collection of 38 interviews drawn from “Unveiling Afghanistan, the Voices of Progress” Campaign that was launched in mid 2013 by Armanshahr in a 50 day count down to the third round of Presidential election in Afghanistan and profited from the support of the FIDH.

Monday، 19 December، 2016Conference on “Children of War, Refugees and Returnees”
A one-day conference was convened in the framework of the Human Rights Week, in collaboration at the premises of the French Institute Afghanistan (IFA), on 7 December. The conference was entitled “Children of War, Refugees and Returnees,” and consisted of two panels: “Children affected by war” and “Education and culture, have the children gone missing?” War, poverty, international conventions and domestic laws of Afghanistan on children, child smuggling, gender, culture and education were themes that were addressed in the two expert panels.

Armanshahr Foundation/OPEN ASIA, in collaboration with French Institute Afghanistan (IFA), organised several programmes to mark its 20th birthday during the Human Rights Week (4-7 2016), in Goharshad University and the IFA premises, where several progressive personalities of Afghanistan addressed the meetings. This year was the 4th successive year that Armanshahr and IFA were organising the Human Rights Week.
